Intro to Design Originality with Saiful Haque

MYDIGITALMAKER FAIR 2020 - Animated Opening Short

Here's a recent project that i was involved in with 3 other fellow artists and animators, where i was the Director, Art Director, Story Artist and Background Lead. The project was for the MyDigitalMaker's first Virtual Fair, and they needed an Animated Opening Short.

I mainly focused on most of the Exterior Shots, and supervised on the overall look for the background, props and character design.

Here are some of the final Environment Designs that i did.






And i even managed to do a simple timelapse on one of the shots.



My biggest struggle would probably be storyboarding, haha but this project has been quite a good learning experience for that.



And the final output, am super proud of the team for this and very much appreciate the opportunity given to us by the team at MyDigitalMaker. Hoping for more opportunities like this again for the Zujabeast Team!

Concept Design Demo...at first..then became something else.

Here are some Concept Design demos for my students, but i took it further and came up with an idea mixing Mad Max, Back to the Future and Takeshi Koike's Redline.

As for the color, that's inspired by Ecto 1 from Ghostbusters. Just a love letter to things i grew up with a hint of recent inspiration.

Character Sculpting with Dylan Ekren.


Recently just completed a Zbrush Character Sculpting class with Dylan Ekren, under Mold 3D Academy. Learned a ton on stylized character sculpting, more on maintaining the shape design and 3D treatment over staying true to anatomy.

Below are my initial studies along with the original designs by the great Jeff Matsuda, and my final Zbrush sculpt. Forgive the bad posing! First time using Zbrush for a full character.

Rise of the Gnome King

A personal project of mine, just started as an idea of a gnome barbarian but ended up being fully committed to the idea once a thought came to mind of him riding a rubber ducky as his mount. (Scale's off i know haha.)
